| Charles Banks Wilson |
|
| |
| I had the pleasure and honor of spending some time with Oklahoma artist Charles Banks Wilson in his home. Charles is well known for his dipiction of native american life. He works primarily in oil, egg tempera and stone lithography. His work hangs in the Gilcrease Museums permanent collection and he has been declared a "state treasure" in Oklahoma. He was friends with the late Thomas Hart Benton, muralist of Missouri. I was inspired by Mr. Wilson's honest and consistant vision for his work. |
